Not sure what the artist has named his mural and couldn't find anything online, but with dozens of houses all over the human figure I figured it could have something to do with the burden of housing costs for lots of people.

Thanks, Sami.
There was another mural next to Kyle's mural, in graffiti style letters, with a background painted in colours matching Kyle's mural, but I was unable to find out who painted it and can't figure out what the letters say.
I have previously posted a few of Kyle's murals around Perth, and here are the links:

...affordable housing and homelessness is a serious problem around the world.
ReplyDeleteCertainly is Tom and some cities in Australia have become far too expensive.
DeleteIt is an interesting mural, subject to a good deal of personal interpretation, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteThanks David, yes I suppose art can be interpreted differently by everyone.
DeleteIt's strange and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kwarkito.
DeletePowerfully rendered.
ReplyDeleteThanks William.
DeleteA sua interpretação é plausível.
ReplyDeleteBoa semana, Sami.
A falta de mais informacao, penso que sim Catarina :)
DeleteThe buildings look a bit like old style outdoor loos.
ReplyDeleteLooking at a mural she painted in the city centre, the houses in that one look exactly the same as this one, maybe it's just the way she portrays houses? I have no idea :) Thanks Andrew.
DeleteThis is fascinating, Sami. I love the political focus although I wouldn't have thought that had you not thrown in your guess.
ReplyDeleteJust a guess Jeanie, just to give the post a title :)
DeleteNice mural
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam :)
DeleteBurden of the cost of housing is the perfect title for it, Sami. And that's a great mural.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting this meme. :)
Thanks Dee :)
DeleteGosh, Sami. I never would have considered interpreting that mural that way, but I'm delighted you shared your thoughts on it. Both murals are nice, but I prefer Kyle's to the graffiti style mural. These were both great finds, though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, I also prefer Kyle's mural. The title is just my interpretation to give the post a title :)
DeleteHousing sure gets more complicated. I am glad we have our condo. And that it´s paid, too. So sad there are even murals on this subject, but that´s life, I reckon.
ReplyDeleteIt is sure getting more difficult for the young generation to afford to buy their own house. Not sure the mural is about that, I just interpreted it that way, with all the houses on the back of the person...
DeleteThanks Iris.
Muito bem elaborado este mural, gostei.
ReplyDeleteUma boa semana.

Obrigada Francisco, boa semana :)
ReplyDeletePretty one, I like the first one the most.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne :)
DeleteOh that's funny Sami, I nearly put one of his murals up also :) I think you are right though, it must be something to do with the burden of home owning or not owning a home.
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace, I like his murals :)
DeleteHello, the mural with the houses is cool. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen, have a great week too.
DeleteOn the second mural, it looks as if a graffiti artist has over-painted the original artists’ mural, which maybe was more like the one you posted first. I think it’s sad when one artist disrespects another. I also wonder about the meaning.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I thought it could be a collaboration between Kyle and another artist, as background colours are similar, but I can't figure that out. Thanks Mae.
DeleteThe cost of housing is a serious issue in Toronto.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie, just like in Australia's big cities like Sydney and Melbourne, the cost of housing is becoming prohibitive. Perth is still not too bad, but still many young people say they won't be able to afford to buy.
DeleteWhat an interesting mural. I like the interconnecting houses.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon :)
DeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks RR :)
DeleteYou found some interesting murals. Especially like the first one.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the first one too. Thanks TFG.
DeleteVery intriguing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda :)
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteThere must be a story about this mural; no doubt!
Looks also like bird houses with the resting peg attached...
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette :)

DeleteI like that first one a lot but have no idea what the message is either. Thanks for hosting us, Sami!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :)
DeleteInteresting murals, thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan.
