I'm not a drinker, only having an occasional glass of wine on special occasions, and I'll drink a sweet liqueur also once in a while, but I thought these signs were funny. The top two are from Mister Walker Restaurant, by the Swan River in South Perth, and the last one was taken last year in Porto, Portugal. More signs atSigns, signs.
I must confess to not being a fan of Star Wars or any science fiction or fantasy movies, but looking through pictures taken on our last visit to Portugal in April 2018, I came across this one of Darth Vader, and I thought it would be the ideal one for this week to honour the recent death of the actor Peter Mayhew who portrayed Chewbacca in Star Wars. Painted by the Portuguese team of SkTr in 2017 in Lisbon's biggest and oldest wall of street art "Hall of Fame". Situated in a big avenue (Conselheiro Fernando de Sousa) near the Amoreiras Shopping Centre, it encompasses about 750 sq mt (8072sq ft) of walls and has been utilized for street art since the 1990's, with about 90 paintings in exhibition. There are new works coming up all the time and the initiative is supported by the City's Municipality Urban Art Gallery
You know there will be lots of murals to follow from the Hall of Fame 😉😉...

Today it's all about Twiggy, one of our two Tortoiseshells, sister to Shelley and Fluffy .
Named after the 70's British model Twiggy, when she was born she was the tiniest of the 8, but was the first to get out of the "nest", and we thought she would be fearless.
In March 2014 she lost her Mom (Mommy) to whom she was very close to, and just a couple of weeks later she was attacked by a cat or dog and her belly was ripped open. Since then think she became frightened, hiding every time someone knocks on the door, if friends visit or even odd noises in the house.

She hates being picked up, meowing in panic if we do that. During the day she's very wary, and won't even sit with us, so we can either find her either sleeping on our bed, or hiding somewhere, but at night she seems to mellow and relax and becomes more lovable, sitting near us if we're watching tv in the lounge, or jumping into bed when we go to sleep, usually sleeping curled up next to me.

And she used to love her confined spaces or unusual places to sleep as you can see by the photos 😆
Apparently tortoiseshell cats are said to bring good luck, and are sometimes called "money cats" in the United States.
Not sure if our two tortoishells brought us luck, but I think they are lucky to have found us to care for them for sure. But we love them too of course.
As I'd mentioned before, our daughter Karina came from the Philippines over Easter, to spend 10 days with us.
On Monday 29th April, we both went to the movies to watch - "Swimming with Men", a British feel good movie inspired by a true story. We really enjoyed it!
These signs were printed on the popcorn boxes, I thought they were hilarious 😁.
On Tuesday 30th, Karina and I had dinner at Riverton Bar and Grill, next to my local shopping, and we had a laugh at the sign outside the entrance.
I wonder if Ugg boots are as popular in your countries as they are in Australia? It always amazes me to see young ladies wearing Ugg boots with shorts! Aren't they meant to keep your feet warm?
Karina flew out at 2am this Wednesday, so I had to drop her at the Airport at 11pm, but luckily I only worked the pm shift from 1 o'clock, so I had a sleep in this morning.
In Bonifacio Global City(BGC), Manila, this mural entitled "Pangako" (The promise) is located on Bonifacio High street, Lane P, painted by Filipino artist Anjo Bolarda. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
