Monday Mural - Star Wars

I must confess to not being a fan of Star Wars or any science fiction or fantasy movies, but looking through pictures taken on our last visit to Portugal in April 2018, I came across this one of Darth Vader, and I thought it would be the ideal one for this week to honour the recent death of the actor Peter Mayhew who portrayed Chewbacca in Star Wars.

Painted by the Portuguese team of SkTr in 2017 in Lisbon's biggest and oldest wall of street art "Hall of Fame".
Situated in a big avenue (Conselheiro Fernando de Sousa) near the Amoreiras Shopping Centre, it encompasses about 750 sq mt (8072sq ft) of walls and has been utilized for street art since the 1990's, with about 90 paintings in exhibition.
There are new works coming up all the time and the initiative is supported by the City's Municipality Urban Art Gallery

You know there will be lots of murals to follow from the Hall of Fame 😉😉...

  4. What?! Not a Star Wars fan? I wonder what Darth Vader would say about that. :-)

  9. My son loved Star Wars and when the movies came out we'd wait in those long lines so he could see the movies. It was a wonderful time.

Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
