This one was painted by Australian artist Matt Adnate - at the hotel that bears his name - the Adnate Hotel, that opened up in Perth in October 2019. It includes the faces of a Noongar man, an Indian woman and a Mediterranean woman, painted on the side of the 27 storey building , Perth’s first Art Series Hotel dedicated to street art, at 900 Hay Street, Perth.
In the driveway leading to the garages there are a few other murals by Adnate and inside the hotel lobby a few more big works of art.

Not sure who painted this mural... |
This one by Adnate is in the hotel lobby |
Adnate has a very distinct style. Each of these is thought provoking. I can see why you wondered who painted the one mural that didn't appear to be painted by Adnate. These are all extremely beautiful, Sami.
ReplyDeleteAdnate is a great artist indeed. Thanks Elizabeth
DeleteThis mural is quite impressive. It's good that buildings and official bodies devote so much space to murals
ReplyDeleteThanks Arnaud. New projects have by law to spend some money in works of art, which is good for the struggling artists.

DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteAdnate sure is a high class painter; excellent work.
The one you don't know who did is looks like having been drunk when using his paint brushes...

DeleteYou could not pay me all the money in the world to paint a mural on a building that tall. Just saying!
ReplyDeleteIt couldn't have been easy, he would have used a cherry-picker to be that high. I would get vertigo for sure :) thanks Jeanie
