Monday Murals - Saving the Planet

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks Sami

Another great mural painted at The Piazza in Fremantle, part of a makeover under new ownership. Painted in January 2026 by Perth artist Jerome Davenport aka Ketones 6000.

The mural sends a message about the importance of caring for the environment for future generations, and hoping to inspire the audience to think about their role in mitigating environmental damage.

The young girl in an astronaut suit carrying a glass jar with plants to be saved, while a forest behind her is burning.

It was a bit difficult to photograph it, as the mural was painted high up on the side of a building in a narrow laneway.

PS: I went to a meeting in Fremantle, (Sunday 29th) went past The Piazza and found another mural being painted in between this mural and Bordalo's quokkas mural (from last week). It appeared almost ready, the cherry picker lift was still there, but not the artist, and I couldn't find anything online about it yet...

  5. Dear Sami,
A wonderful and very expressive mural – beautifully painted and with a message that is unfortunately extremely important... May those who can make a difference listen to it!

  7. Very interesting paintings with an important message to the world. But the ones who are responsible most rarely hear it.
Have a good time and all the best

    1. Thank you Violetta. I agree, governments should be doing more for the environment and enforcing more rules if needed.

  8. As kid, Sami, I watched E.T. in the cinema. Only in "our" Kingsway Shopping Centre in Madeley/Perth in the give and take library I found the book and learned... E.T. was a botanical extraterrestrial!!
    Wonderful mural!
I left another book there and took this one to Braunschweig...

  11. Oh, that mural says it all about the short-sighted stupidity of how we humans treat the environment, doesn't it!
