Looking through my MURALS photo file the other day, I discovered I had various murals with WINGS, so I'm posting them all today, as I thought they would also be appropriate for Spring.
The blue butterfly wings I discovered a few months ago at Carousel Shopping Centre, not far from me. No signature, I presume it was painted on a facade either covering an empty shop or a shop under renovation.
...great visuals and message. Karrak Dreaming, painted by Margaret River artist, Anita Revel is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, it's a pretty one :)
DeleteIt's wonderful when you have so many beautiful butterflies like that. A genuine cornucopia of colorful wings. Thanks for sharing all of these together.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, glad you enjoyed all the butterfly wings :)
DeleteBeautiful wings... let's start spreading our wings again...
ReplyDelete:)
I do miss spreading our wings Catarina :)
DeleteI like the top one and the blue colours. we are seeing quite a few Spring butterflies here right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy, have a nice week.
DeleteI love taking photos of wings too. It is a happy topic.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Teresa, thank you.
DeletePretty stuff.
ReplyDeleteThese are those wings you can stand against and take pictures, no? The first one has one for a parent and kid. So cool. And it is so beautiful, too. It makes me want to paint one like that. :)
Thank you for hosting, Sami.
Have a good week. And 'Happy Waiting for Spring.' :)
Thank
Yes, they are very popular with people standing in front of them, I was alone so didn't get a photo.
DeleteThanks Dee, have a nice week too.
Spread your wings and fly!
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Wish we could...
DeleteBoa semana Pedro
Ohhh, I haven´t seen the first wings!
ReplyDeleteNot the ones in Freo, for that matter... or the last ones. Seesh. Who knows when we´ll be back - can you visit your parents atm? Dumb question, huh. Weird, sad times... If we only could spread our wings. Clever one, Sami.
I think the first and second are pretty recent Iris.
DeleteWe can't leave WA Iris, we can only travel within the state, our borders are also closed to other States and you need special permission to travel anywhere. But there are flights from Emirates and Qatar flying to Europe, the only problem is when you return you have to stay 14 days in hotel quarantine and from (August I think it was) pay for it out of your pocket - something like $3000 each!! It would take the fun out of any travel...
Right now whatsapp is all we have.
I want to be photographed with those wings!
ReplyDeleteI was alone, and didn't want to bother anyone to take a photo in front of them.
DeleteSome nice wings, Sami, and that hint of escape is very appealing. I like the first one with its adult and child size option.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie, as Stephenson suggested, a nice spot for a mother/daughter photo.
DeleteGostei destes murais.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

DeleteAmazing
ReplyDeleteThank you Rupam.
DeleteThere were wings like these at the mall here for a while. But, the one I saw didn't have the little ones for kids to pose in front of. That's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon.
DeleteI love that first pair!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :)
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteLove the wings by Anita Revel.
They make me think of the First Nation arts from our adopted daughter from British Columbia.
Hugs,
Mariette
I'm happy those wings brought you good memories Mariette.
