Monday Murals - Leiria

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks Sami

Leiria is a small city with lots of mural, my cousin always posts new ones on Facebook, but sadly we didn't have time to drive around and look for them.

So these are the only 2 we found on the way from the shopping where we met my cousin and wife to the highway... well, the second one is more of a monument.

Painted by Hyland Mather and Mando Marie in 2020, featuring geometric patterns, stencil motifs and the text "Na distância" (In the distance).

Hyland was born in Oregon, USA, was raised in Alaska and now lives between Holland and Portugal.

Mando (aka Amanda Marie), was also born in the USA and lives between Holland and Portugal.

"Marco do Rotario" (Rotary Landmark) by Fernando Marques (1934–2017), inaugurated in November 2001 by the Rotary Club of Leiria. It is located in the Rotary Roundabout, and serves as a tribute to the history and hard work of rural workers in the region.
