Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks Sami

I had almost forgotten about these murals from Waroona, a country town about 1h20 south west of Perth, where we spent the long weekend Easter break.

Painted in 2021 by Perth artist Jerome Davenport at the John Marchetti Rural Shed at the Waroona Showgrounds, this mural depicting farming life in the area is 52 meters long (170,6 feet), 2,5mt tall (8,20 feet) and has some 3D effects.

The Ford grill is also a 3D effect

One of the 3D effects - a spade and bit of cement

Another 3D - a farming implement

  3. voilà une fresque très rurale et bucolique, et magnifiquement réalisée. Les effets 3D sont excellents, astucieux et ajoutent de la fantaisie à l'ensemble. C'est un hommage très touchant à ce fermier.

  7. Great work, although I am not so keen on the man in the second photo. Something about it doesn't look right to me. Some of the animals really jump out of the mural.

    1. I agree Andrew, his face looks a bit skew. But he's got other murals with beautiful faces.

  10. This is such a wonderful mural. It gives a true sense of what farming must be like in that area and it reminds me a lot of the farming area I grew up in in Illinois. I love those 3D touches.
