Murals from Katara Cultural Village, in Doha, Qatar.
"Friends - Qatar and Cuba" - this mural shows a boy spinning a football, while the other looks up in wonderment. The mural was painted by Cuban artist Maisel Lòpez Valdés in one of Katara's buildings and it was inaugurated just before the Fifa World Cup 2022.
The following 2 murals also in the village, I didn't see the artist's name.
...Sami, you found some amazing mural on your recent trip, thanks for sharing them. Have a wonderful new week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom.
DeleteReally, this trip to Doha seems to be an inexhaustible source of delight when it comes to murals. They are very varied and beautifully executed. (kwarkito)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kwarkito. Many more to come :)
DeleteThat is great! I love the first one. Lovely. Sport does bring us together, or tries...
ReplyDeleteYes, tries is the operative word :) Thanks Lydia
DeleteI love the first one too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jackie.
DeleteFootball is so popular in alot of countries, I do'nt mind it but I prefer rugby.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy. I find rugby quite violent.
DeleteThanks for showing us around!

ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Obrigada Pedro, boa semana.
DeleteC'est cool.
ReplyDeleteMerci :)
DeleteVery beautiful ones! Oh, but when I think of Cuba I rather think of boxing! And of a mural in... Leederville? It was also a Cuban boxing-club!
ReplyDeleteI suppose this was done for the Football world cup, by a Cuban artist, so football is it. Yes there's a boxing themed one in Leederville. Thanks Iris
DeleteThese are also impressive murals from Qatar, dear Sami!
ReplyDeleteI find the mural with the two soccer boys particularly beautiful/touching. They come from different cultures and yet are connected. Wouldn't it be nice if the world could be like this everywhere and all the time?
All the best, Traude
