Murals from  Marechal Carmona Park in Cascais, Portugal.

Photos taken during my visit to Portugal in March/April this year.

The two-metre wide "Plastic World" sculpture in the park, was created by Carole Purnelle and Nuno Maia, and it was originally exhibited at the "Sculpture ArteMar" at Estoril Beach (Portugal) in 2009 and won first prize.

In 2014 it was exhibited at the Sculpture by the Sea in Cottesloe, Perth.

  4. Suddenly every utility box in the entire world has become a surface for inspiring great works of art, or even minor works of art! How amazing that an idea has such power.

  9. The rooster is cute.
Oh, my, the world. I bought chicoree, cherries, melon - everything was in plastic :-(
I managed to get a cucumber without plastic - wo-hoo. Ingo got peppers - more plastic. Bread ... in plastic. It´s a shame.
There are shops you can bring your own containers - more expensive and Ingo read an article, most shops buy like others and fake non-plastic-selling... What a world we create...

  11. Ah lovely to see the Portuguese Rooster mural 😀 . I have a refrigerator magnet of it. The plastic world thing - I recently saw something like that in Frankfurt. I wonder if it’s the same exhibition moving from city to city.

  13. Plastic world sends a strong message. There is way too much plastic in the world. I wish artists could paint utility boxes here. It would make a big difference.
