This Aboriginal mural was painted at the back of the Aboriginal-run Marrawuddi Gallery building in Jabiru, in the Northern Territory, which I visited during my trip to Darwin and Kakadu National Park in September 2021.
Quite pretty colours don't you think?
The entrance to the gallery at the front of the building had another simpler mural.
I like the bright warm colors. I was so glad to see all the detail shots, because my eye was initially drawn to the bird at the top, and I completely missed one of the fish. This was an example of beautifully created Aboriginal art.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, glad I took photos of the various animals in the mural 😊

DeleteOh, I have a postcard of a frill-necked lizard - sadly never saw one for real.
ReplyDeleteOh. And are those ants? Ingo: "Oww, owww, owww!" And I thought, "outch, what is this" and thought of pollen/plants. Sat on ants. ;-)
I have no idea, they have an upturned tail...We have some aggressive ants in the garden sometimes and it hurts for a while when they bite!
DeleteBeautiful!

ReplyDeleteVenho do espaço do Pedro Coimbra.
