Mural seen at Point Walter Reserve, when we met up with some people from the Portuguese Community in December 2020 for our annual Christmas picnic.
This mural of native birds and plants was painted on the toilet blocks, sadly I couldn't find the artist's name.
There are quite a few Australian artists that paint native fauna and flora, but this one looks very much in the style of Perth artist Melski McVee. If not, hopefully the artist will reveal himself/herself.
Beautiful and very realistic bird paintings!
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com

DeleteDearest Sami,

DeleteVery nice decoration of a public facility. I often wonder if artists look at blogs or other social media and come across or actively look for photos and appreciative words about their works.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew. I wonder that too, I hope they do read some praise about their work.

DeleteBeautiful and you made me laugh, Sami. In Monkey Mia a pelican went after me, boy, was I scared! These birds are big! I had no food even!
ReplyDeleteThanks Iris. We actually saw the pelicans being fed in Monkey Mia and then again in a town north of Sydney (The Entrance) where they walked right next to me.
DeleteMonkey Mia sadly suffered some damage during the Seroja Cyclone yesterday, but the worst was Kalbarri with 70% damage.
How nice painted in the soft colours.

DeleteLove this one Sami, we have so many super talented street artists in Perth. Btw Aimee and I didn't realise we needed tickets for the beach carnival either but because Mark McGowan lifted restrictions on numbers on Friday night we didn't need them.. lucky 😉
ReplyDeleteOh what a pity Grace, didn't think of that. There's always next year hopefully 😉
DeleteWonderful....I love birds of course so this mural is perfect.
