The mural was painted by Diogo Machado, AKA Add Fuel, who happens to have been born in Cascais.
I like his style of painting using stencils to create the traditional look of the blue and white Portuguese tiles. With this specific mural I didn't like the lady's strange duck face.
I actually met the artist when he came to Perth to paint one of his murals at Curtin University during Perth Form 2016.

Thanks Iris. Because I knew he was Portuguese, I saw him taking a break and I greeted him in Portuguese and chatted for a while.
DeleteWhen I first saw the overall image, I thought the face was a skeleton. Other than the face, the entire mural is lovely, especially because of the blue and white tiles.

Thanks Elizabeth, yes it was greet meeting him. We just had Open house Perth this weekend and there were a few murals being painted and the touring group was able to chat to the artists, which was lovely.
