Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas & New Year

My daughter arrived from Amsterdam last week to spend 1 month with us, and tomorrow her partner arrives from Amsterdam, and my brother in law arrives from Lisbon to join us too.

We'll be quite busy showing them around Perth and surrounding areas, and with Christmas approaching at break-neck speed and still so much to do....I don't expect that I'll have much time to blog.

So, my dear family, friends, and all my wonderful followers I wish you have a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year brings us all Peace, Health and Happiness!

I'll leave you with some Christmas photos taken this week.

Some of the city decorations

Decorated houses in my neighbourhood

This ginger bread house and Christmas tree was at the Perth Convention Centre.
Make by a team of 7 pastry chefs, it used 800 eggs, 40kg of Marzipan, 50kg of honey, 100 kg of flour  among other ingredients, and it took  them 1500 hours of labour!!
Not to be eaten...but enjoyed!!

Happy Christmas everybody! See you next year.

  1. You have put me in a Christmas spirit, and it took someone who is now experiencing summer to do it.

Your shots of downtown are wonderful. The trees are incredible. Of course, the homes in your neighborhood blew me away. Your neighbors go all out for Christmas, don't they?

Enjoy your time away from the computer with your family, which is what is important any time of the year, but even more so this time of year.

Thanks for being supportive of my blog. Have a joyous Christmas with your family, be sure it's safe, and I'll see you in the new year!

    1. Thanks Elizabeth, I'm glad my Christmas pictures brought you some joy. In my neighborhood there aren't that many houses that are lit up, but some areas the people go crazy with the lights and even music to go with the lights. These suburbs get advertised on tv and hundreds of people visit and give donations to a charity. Have a lovely Christmas too.

  7. Dearest Sami,
Oh what a wonderful time you're living for one month!
Mother and daughter united and sharing their love... This will be my 2nd Christmas without Mom and we can never be together again.
But we still have each other and lovely friends. All others are in our hearts and that's what counts.
Sending you many blessings for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with your family.
    Mariette

    1. I can imagine how hard it would be knowing you can't see your Mom again...but as you say, our departed relatives will always be in our hearts.
We will certainly make the best of our time together until they return back to Holland.
Have a wonderful Christmas too and lots of health for the New Year!
