Looking through unposted photos of murals I came across this one, which was taken during a holiday in Portugal in August/September 2017.
Painted on an electrical station in the suburb of Torre, Cascais for Muraliza 2016 by Paula Bonet , a Spanish book illustrator and painter.

My daughter Karina also celebrates her birthday on the 8th March.
Gosh, I can't believe I've already got a 35 year old daughter!
I'm looking forward to her arrival on the 14th March, when we will both celebrate our birthdays with a party at home.
We are so proud of her, she's such a brilliant young lady - intelligent, hard-working, independent, friendly and very close to her family and friends.
Happy birthday to Karina!

Thank you Mae :)
DeleteLovely mural. I almost forgot it was International Women's Day. I love the mural you chose. It is perfect.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter, Sami. She is a real beauty and I can see a lot of you in her.
Thanks Elizabeth. I suppose she has some of my features and even some of my temperament.
DeleteA Happy Birthday to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThe mural is haunting.
Thanks William :)
Delete...Sami, you look like sisters.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, very kind of you :)
DeleteA mural like that would be perfect for a hairdressing salon.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite right Amy, it would look perfectly at home in a hairdressing salon.
DeleteNice mural
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam.
Deletea nice Mural. And i totally agree with Tom.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kwarkito, very kind of you :)
DeleteThis is site is terrific ~ what a great idea! I just started to follow I'm looking forward to the art people find around the world. Your example is beautiful. I found you through Elizabeth at "Altered Book Lover". Happy Birthday to your daughter and blessings on her visit soon ~
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your visit and follow. Thanks for the birthday wishes too.
DeleteHappy International Women's Day, Sami. As a man I can say with confidence that strong, caring women have contributed so much to my lifeI can barely acknowledge it.
ReplyDeleteThanks David, how nice of you to acknowledge that you were influenced by strong caring women.
DeleteRetomando as rotinas depois de uma semana em correria em Portugal.
ReplyDeleteBoa semana
Bom retorno Pedro. Uma semana mal da para se recuperar do jet-lag, lol.
DeleteBoa semana.
Oh, this made me smile very big, Sami! The pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe mural is lovely, too. Important in a way I am not sure about, we want to be equal after all. Sad we still need a day for women only, but reckon we will need that for a long time still.
Thanks Iris.
DeleteJust yesterday I had the same thought, until when will we need a "Women's day"?
Congratulations on your daughters birthday, Sami. My three granddaughters also celebrated their birthday yesterday. Oh and I like the painting
ReplyDeleteThanks Bertie. What a coincidence on the birthdays. I have a lot of family and friends who have birthdays in March.
DeleteI've never had trouble with any sites before, including Bertie's. Today I can't get on the site because my ISP (Firefox) believes it is malicious. According to the message, there is NOTHING I can do to visit the site. Apparently it's on Bertie's end. I hope this message reaches her, because I'm going to see if there's a way I can get around the problem.
DeleteIgnore the last message. I was able to work around the problem by going to Bertie's profile and clicking on the blog from there. I hope no other Firefox user encounters this problem.
DeleteThanks Elizabeth, glad you managed to sort it out. I was about to leave her a msg.
DeleteGostei do mural e muitos parabéns para a filha e também para a mãe.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.
