A lot of beautiful purple flowers and a lot of passion-fruit already hanging from the vine.
The only problem is part of it seems to have taken over our wall mounted clothes drying rack on the side of the house, and a lot of fruit is already hanging from there...
I hope they leave space for me to hang my washing!

The beautifully scented frangipani is blooming too. Love the colour and the scent.
Looking forward to doing some gardening in the cooler weather this weekend.

DeleteSo many fruit from your passion vines. You need shade that side, that's why the vines is covering de Wall. I believe the small white flowers from (?) will be afected. Shame. Can'you move it from that Wall?

The passion vine was there before and used to give lots of fruit. Then we cut it down as it was taking over, and going into neighbours garden, and recently it started growing again. It doesn't get too much sun there...in the front garden the frangipani is white and yellow, this is a new one at the back that was given to us.

DeleteMy passionfruit vine is refusing to flower and fruit and I have been thinking of trimming it way back. I cant think what else it needs.
ReplyDeleteLast year ours was trimmed almost to death, it was so overgrown, going introduction neighbour's garden ...I really thought it was gone, but then a few months ago it started growing again and is full of fruit. So maybe you need to trim it too Gill. Good luck !

Yes, those Passion vines have taken over and outnumber any of your things!
BUT, I wish we had such fertility where we would see such an abundance of fruits.
One can only say that your Passion Fruit does have lots of PASSION for growing vigorous.
In Indonesia we always enjoyed the Markisa, the juice they produce from their golden passion fruits. You might know it since you're a neighboring country.

I'm afraid it looks as if you're losing the battle of the washing line at the moment, you lucky thing!! Your frangipani is gorgeous as well, it's looking super exotic with you in Perth Sami :)

Your first photo caught my eye. The foliage and fruit is so lush - almost rain forest quality! I really do wish I had your "problem" of luscious fruit growing right outside my door! Nothing grows for me except weeds and mosquitoes!
