This mural on the corner of Beaufort and Harold Street in Mount Lawley, was painted on a wall of a laundromat by Martin E Wills (MEW), a Perth based artist born in the UK.
His murals mainly depict aliens with 60's beehive hairstyles and desolate landscapes.
The whole wall is covered by this mural which also has an Asian dancer/instrument player with a red flower in her hair. I'm not sure this part of the mural which integrates with the aliens is also Will's work, it's got a totally different style so I presume it isn't, but I couldn't find the artist's name anywhere.
Hope you enjoy the quirky characters.

O mais original até agora, na minha opinião. O que mais gostei, sem dúvida! Muito bonito e imaginativo! Adorei!
ReplyDeleteObrigada Sandra, e um estilo engracado.
DeleteSo many hands!
ReplyDeleteYes, I don't know what all the hands are doing....playing the instrument?

ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne.

ReplyDeleteThanks Marleen, it's a funny/quirky mural indeed!
DeleteSeems really usual to me...and interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit LOL.
DeleteIt's hard to say whether it was one artist with 2 different ideas or not! I like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit Red Pat, yes it could be the same artist just painting a different style.
DeleteI´ve visited these with Grace (so sad you were not around a the time!) - they remind me of my parents who´d been to Japan...
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember when I fell sick just before going overseas.
DeleteNice that you got to see some of these murals.
The aliens seem strangely familiar. The pretty woman in the next panel seems more reassuring until you realize she has too many arms and hands. The oddness in each image seems to link them. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteThanks, have you seen these aliens in your corner of the globe? LOL.
