Monday Mural - Various in Bunbury

The 3 murals posted today were all seen during our stop-over in the town of Bunbury when we travelled to Margaret River in December.
Bunbury in regional Australia, is apparently home to the largest collection of street and public art. Quite impressive!

If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you;
just follow the Linky steps below.   Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters.  Looking forward to your mural finds this week.

Monday Mural Meme goes lives at 12,01am Perth, Western Australian time.
Thanks, Sami.

Just outside Mojo's restaurant in Victoria Street (where we had lunch), this sea container had a wall painted by Tattoo artist Tim Howe - a woman in an aquatic setting, which was painted in November 2015.

The next mural in a laneway off Victoria Street next to Trafalgars Hotel, and across from Ian Mutch's Autumn leaves mural,  the words Rebel, Rebel, were painted by Australian artist, typographer and illustrator Gemma O'Brien.

She does a lot of advertising commissions for big companies, and a number of her projects have been recognized by the New York The Type Directors Club, with awards of typographic excellence.

This last one also in the same laneway off Victoria Street,  where Kyle Hughes-Odgers mural was painted, but behind a closed fence to which I presume was a bar.
I couldn't find who painted it.

And a very happy birthday to my Mom who celebrates her 82nd birthday today 10th February.

Mom and I in Perth, Dec 2015, Mom and I in 1964 and Mom in 2019.

  8. Such beautiful ladies (the one in an aquatic setting and the Birthday girl :) Happy Birthday to your mom.)

I love how easily the second painting creates a seaside setting in an urban jungle.

  20. Dearest Sami,
Congratulations with your dear Mom's B'day!
Fond memories of different eras with her at your side but always inside your heart.
As for the typographic excellence, that mural is my winner and next is the first one with the aquatic face.
    Hugs,
    Mariette
