ReplyDeleteJust in case you are interested the bird you refer to as a Red-billed Coot is a Dusky Moorhen, the ducks are Maned Ducks, also called Australian Wood Ducks, and the gulls are Silver Gulls. Thanks for these nice shots of birds! Yippee!

Bin chicken, really, so mean, that name. But it always makes me grin, too. And do I miss seagulls (spiders... not "so much").

Thanks Iris. I enjoy seeing the Ibis too. We don't see that many in Perth, but lately I see a "couple" that often sit on top of the roof of the Nursing Home across from the clinic where I work.
DeleteA lovely series of feathered Sydney-siders Sami 😉 There is a house around the corner from us where the residents obviously know what Ibis eat, quite often see six or seven Ibis munching away on their lawn, really weird to see 😀
