Thanks Sami
Knowing my keen interest in murals, Dr S. who works in the same clinic where I work told me her son in law, Jerome Davenport (Ketones 6000) had finished painting a mural in Wolf Lane, in Perth's city centre in August this year. It's called "Hope".
Wolf Lane is a quirky lane in-between two busy streets, where the first murals were painted for Form Public Art Festival in 2014. Those murals are still there and a few new ones have been recently added.
You can read the post I wrote about that first festival in 2014!

...the world needs all of the hope that it can get right about now! Thanks Sami for sharing and hosting. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom.
DeleteHow neat to be connected to the muralist through your co-worker. The child in a boat named Hope is a beautiful image full of meaning.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Monday Murals.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Thank you Mae :)
DeleteThat is a beautiful mural.
ReplyDeleteThanks Roentare
DeleteGreat, dear Sami! This is a very beautiful and expressive mural and a cute child - and hope is a good motto. As Tom said, the world needs a lot of it. And it's also great that you know this artist's mother-in-law!
ReplyDeleteAll the best from Austria, Traude

Thanks Traude, yes the world needs all the hope we can get.
DeleteThank you for spreading beauty and for sharing with all of us. Sami. Aloha!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia
DeleteThat is so good, and right in the heart of the city.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew, a good spot for murals.
DeleteTo me it is scary. A child on it´s own on the ocean... But it sure is very well done and there is always hope. And the child really looks like she is full of hope and not scared at all.
ReplyDeleteShe looks quite comfortable. Thanks Iris
DeleteAmazing mural work, Great clicks.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for hosting.
Thanks Rupam
DeleteYes, this child in a boat called hope is a lovely metaphor. Life is a frail skiff sailing on an ocean of uncertainty and no one can predict whether the winds and currents will be favourable. And then, technically, the production of the image is very well executed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your interpretation Kwarkito. Enjoy the rest of the week
DeleteIndeed a beautiful mural in a sea of uncertainty . Good interpretation of Kwarkito.
ReplyDeleteThanks SC
DeleteWhat a sweet mural of that little girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne
DeleteI love the mural and the message of Hope is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day and have a great week ahead.
Thank you Eileen
DeleteThe mural is well painted but a bit frightening. A small child alone in a boat? There are probably more optimistic ways of illustrating "Hope." (Jack from Southwest Daily Images.)
ReplyDeleteI actually met the artist this week and forgot to ask him about this mural. Thanks Jack
DeleteIt is really well done, Sami.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat
DeleteAgain some wonderful paintings on these walls.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time
Violetta
Thanks Violetta
DeleteThat’s gorgeous! Wonderful piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda
DeleteSuch a beautiful child, Sami!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteThat is lovely, but also a little sad. I guess maybe I need more hope?
ReplyDeleteYes, a bit sad too. Thanks Lydia.
