Monday Murals - Redistribute for a world of solidarity

I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you.  Just follow the Linky steps below.  Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere.  The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week.   Thanks Sami

On our way to the East Side Gallery - an open air gallery on the remained section of the Berlin Wall in the Kreuzberg quarter, this was the first mural I spotted as we came out of the Underground train station where we alighted - Schlesisches Tor, and just before crossing the Oberbaum bridge.

The colourful map of the world mural was painted in January 2021, and is called "Umverteilen für eine solidarische Welt" or "Redistribute for a world of solidarity", and can be found at Falckensteinstraße 46.

The artists were: Marycula, Junx and Anja Ha.

  1. Fantastic murals! I like the style of lettering as well as the map art work. It reminds me of the Vienna Art Nouveau style.

    1. Very much each to their own, but I think there is still a lot of kindness in this world.

  5. I like it, it's like someone dripped rainbow coloured paint down the side of the building.

  9. They plan a no-income-project.
You don´t need much, you get the basics without having to have a job, any job.
    Will that work?
    Who will work.
Do you get a burger at Maccas still?
    I don´t need much, either...
But those who have something will not be able to join. I have a tenant, and our condo is ours, I´m out.
    It´s not a fair project....
Who will get your rubbish to the dump, who will do the unloved jobs? Will there be nurses?

When I lost my job I had to pay for my health insurance cause I am "rich" (I am not).

If we had a fair world that would be great, but as long as politicians put money in their own pockets first... and I think this is not only Germany... we don´t have a fair world.
    There are always greedy ones.

The mural is a nice idea.
Sorry if I have to be that clear.

    1. Sadly in most countries the politicians are the ones lining their pockets, and the rich just get richer, and the poor just get poorer. Not much fairness in this world at all.

  20. Dear Sami,
I'm glad you found my blog through Tom.
Thank you for your warm words about our farewell to our cat Nina!

I also really like murals. Maybe one day I can participate in the linkup, but not right away. I like the map of the world mural very much, both visually and in terms of content and statement. The wealth in this world is distributed absolutely unfairly.

I wish you a good start into November!
All the best from Austria to Australia, Traude

  22. Sami, I have tried off and on since Sunday (Monday for you) to leave Pictografio a comment and once again, I get a "Failed to publish." I get that on a few blogs, but return later and my comment publishes. There is something wrong between Pictografio's blog and mine, I guess.
