Signs - Vintage Adverts

For other signs from around the world, please check Tom's blog.

And these are the last signs from the Edith Falls Cafe, where we stopped on the way to Katherine in the Northern Territory, on my trip to Darwin in Sept 2021.

Who likes vegemite? I don't!  I remember Marmite and Bovril in South Africa, but was never a fan of them either.

    1. I agree, you have to grow up eating it, otherwise it's difficult to get used to it.

  2. Iris, I did grow up with Vegemite and I can't do without it.

They are great old, or repro signs. The guy in the drinking/thinking sign looks like a rapist.

  3. Great old signs. As for Vegemite I am quite sure it is a dire and sinister plot by Australia against the rest of the world! They should have offered it to Novak Djokovic and he would have left without a fuss!

    1. Thanks Jeanie, it is really vintage. I don't think any of these would be good at promoting their products nowadays.

  13. I've never had vegemite, but have heard you either love or hate it. No middle ground there. Loved the Betty Boop sign. Don't we all wish we could get a bottle of coke for 5 cents? Great signs this week, dear.
