Just below this piece on the wall to the left is another mural, painted for the 2019 Darwin Street Art Festival, by local artist Jason Lee, with a collection of indigenous flora.
...fabulous and exotic! Thanks Sami for hosting the party every week.

DeleteI really like street art festivals, they give you the gift of seeing colour everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy, the Darwin street art festival seems to be quite popular. We had a couple in Perth a few years ago, but we haven't had a mural festival for the last 4 or 5 years...
DeleteI really like the top image. I think all these collage effects are great and inspiring

ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon :)
DeleteThe first is very good. The others are quite good. There seems to be so many murals in Darwin.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew. This year was the 6th festival and they seem to get about a dozen murals painted each year, so there are lots of murals! I think I didn't even get to see half of them.
DeleteI am going to nominate you, Sami, as Curator of Murals for all Australia! The position doesn't exist just yet, but I am sure you will be the first appointee!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the promotion David, I'll take it even though it doesn't pay well :)

DeleteYou have a wonderful view out that window! I'd be gazing out instead of getting my work done!
