On Friday I met up with two former colleagues in the city, and we walked around what is known as Perth's Cultural Centre, to have a look at the new WA Museum.
The Museum will reopen to the public on the 21st of November, after four years of extensive renovations, with a new building and a new name - WA Museum Boola Bardip.
Walking around the block I came across a few murals in a little lane between the Museum and the Alex Hotel - a small boutique hotel, with this mural being the nicest.
It was apparently just finished last week, and was painted by Ketones 6000 (aka Jerome Davenport) and shows a native Blue Banded bee and a Budgerigar.
I was thrilled with the find 😊.
I love the GIANT bee! And I finally have some murals to share this week, from a new project to create several murals in our town.

DeleteI am visiting my neighbor Sally, so I must keep this brief. My internet appears to be fine, but my power supply cord has gone bad, at least that is what my computer guru friend Scott thinks. He will try to get a new one for me in town on Monday. If not, he will buy one at Amazon. That's why I'm late visiting today.

ReplyDeleteHope to visit the museum some day, so far... we cannot book tickets for a flight and I don´t know if our CV-Park is still open (and yes, we want to go to that place again, it´s our "home", shit#y as it has become, sadly).
Thanks Iris. Right now you won't be able to fly to Perth if you are not an Australian. And the returning Australians have to quarantine for 2 weeks in a hotel before being allowed out in the community. I presume the caravan park would be open to accommodate those that might live there.
