These signs are from the Valley of the Giants in Walpole, about 400km (248 miles) South West of Perth.
The Valley of the Giants is an iconic region on the south coast of Western Australia between Denmark and Walpole. The area is world famous for the 600mt long (1968ft) Tree Top Walk suspended 40 metres (131ft) high in the canopy of the ancient tingle forest.
The Tree Top Walk is within the Walpole-Nornalup National Park, is the only area in Australia where these giant eucalyptus can be found. They can grow to a height of 75 mt (246 ft), and some of them are over 400 years old.
Photos are from a couple of years ago, when my parents came to visit and others from when my middle sister and brother in law came to visit us in Australia.
For other signs from around the world please check Tom's blog.

DeleteGreat signs - and pictures, Sami.
ReplyDeleteI remember we went on some tree top walk in 1999 somewhere in Australia, I could not do that anymore, I´m afraid of heights now.
Impressive trees. 400 years, truly amazing.
Thanks Iris. Not a fan of great heights, but I felt safe on those bridges as long as people didn't jump up and down like some people were doing at one stage.
DeleteThe signs were GREAT, but the walkway above the canopy is something I would LOVE to experience. You are SO lucky.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, yes that walkway is amazing and the view from up there too.
