Monday Mural - Busselton life

This black and white mural was painted on walls of the Equinox restaurant on Busselton's water front, close to Busselton's  timber piled jetty, the longest in the Southern Hemisphere with its 1,841 mt (1,144 mi) length.

It was painted by Busselton artist Jack Bromell, and the photos were taken in December 2019, when we and our overseas visitors were returning home from our short holiday in Margaret River.

  2. ...black and white murals can often be quite dramatic and this one is no exception. There is so much detail, I would guess that you could look it over and over again and see new things.

  3. The style of that mural reminds me of one that I saw in Ushuaia, Argentina, and also a few others. I suspect there's an influencer somewhere but I'm unaware what it is. My murals today are made for the pandemic.

  9. Ode to the laborer. I really enjoyed these black and white images in these murals. We're on lock down here, so even if I weren't on hiatus (due to my recycling posts), I wouldn't be out looking for murals. No one is out and about here, at least not in my neighborhood, which is usually pretty busy.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. Keeping safe in lockdown is the best option at the moment. I don't think there are murals being painted during this time, so I have to rely on what I have that I still hadn't posted. Luckily I have enough for the next 2 months probably.

  16. Surely that must be 1,841 metres, Sami. It could not possibly be kilometres. it would go half way to Singapore!

  17. Sami, thanks for stopping by and sharing the items you also like to collect...isn't is crazy what we gather? We are also celebrating our 40th anniversary (August) and had planned to go back to Bermuda, but we might have to put that on hold due to Covid_19. I still have a few collectibles (menu, matchbooks, swizzle sticks, etc)from our honeymoon there and wanted to bring them back to the same resort to share with them! Stay well!

    1. Thanks for your visit Patti. That would have been wonderful to go back to where you honeymooned and to take back your memories from that time.
Sadly we spent our honeymoon in Durban, South Africa, and I certainly wouldn't like to go back there.
