Monday Mural - The Heart of God's Country

Another mural in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Manila, on the W Fifth Building on the corner of 5th Ave and 32nd St.
This gigantic mural was painted by San Francisco based artist Andrew Schoultz.
It depicts nature and regeneration and was painted in 2016 during the Art BGC festival.

  2. I am having a hard time seeing nature and renewal in this mural, and The Philippines has a truly abysmal record in this regard.

    1. I suppose if the tree was green it would look a bit more like nature, but blue and gray trees don't...

  3. Dearest Sami,
That sure was gigantic and the last photo puts it very well into perspective.

  4. Is that a tropical tree species? Or maybe just stylized artistically? Neat mural!

  9. For once, I have to say I don't get it and I'm not fond of this one. I did like the blue squares on the building above the mural, though.

    1. I suppose not to everyone's taste as you can't really relate to that being a tree with that colour and shape, but art is subjective... Thanks Elizabeth.

  13. Great mural. Sami. I love its size, and hints of colour. As for its message, it looks more like a warning than a celebration of renewal. to me. The tree looks as disruptive as the volcanos.

The linky list has run away.
