Ducks eating and the trees reflected in the Canning River (Perth), taken at my friend's house.
They have a small deck from where they feed the ducks, black swans and whatever birds come around (twice a day) so they are never short of hungry visitors.
Participating in James's Weekend Reflections and Eileen's Saturday Critters .
These are Pacific Black Ducks. Take good care of them!e
ReplyDeleteThank you David. My friends certainly do, they are very pampered :)
Delete...they can be little beggars.
ReplyDeleteThey reside at the right place Tom, they get 2 meals a day :)
DeleteHow lovely. We love watching the ducks at our marina. They are most entertaining.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
It's relaxing to watch the ducks and swans, thanks Sandee.
DeletePassed several of their Mallard cousins this afternoon on my hike.
ReplyDeleteThanks Revrunner, hope you said hello.
Deletewonderful reflections and lovely facial markings on those ducks
ReplyDeleteThanks Marsha.
DeleteMarvelous birds!
ReplyDeleteThanks William.
DeleteNice ducks
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteBlack Swans must be very elegant looking.
Nice spot for feeding water fowl.
Hugs,
Mariette
The black swans are beautiful, I'll post swans another time.
Delete♥
DeleteThese are beautiful creatures. I'm always impressed with your friend's pond and of course, her black swans, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth. It's a small river that runs behind their house...I'll post some swans next time :)
DeleteWhat a stunning photo, Sami.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole :) Have a lovely weekend.
DeleteBeautiful - seems like you can swim in there, too! (I don´t even know the German word for the white... well "help" to get out of the water).
ReplyDeleteYes you can swim there, but the water is dark with lots of leaves that fall from the trees, so I would rather swim in their pool. They have canoes and we used them to go up and down the river.
DeleteI just love ducks. And these are particularly beautiful ones, too. I love the details on their feathers. So glad your friend takes care of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie. Yes they are lucky ducks, as soon as they seem them coming to the deck they swim over :)
DeleteLindo estes patos, aproveito para desejar um bom fim-de-semana.

DeleteHello, your friends have a nice place and habitat for the ducks. They are cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and reflections. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day and weekend! PS, thanks always for the comment on blog.
They sure have their house in a wonderful spot. Thanks for hosting Eileen and have a good weekend too.
DeleteWonderful! I wonder do they have names for them, like the rest of us name our cats and dogs?
ReplyDeleteI think they are too many, and new ones being born every year, so they don't bother. But I bet the ducks know them :)
DeleteI nicely located house for sure!!
ReplyDeleteYes, very well located :)
DeleteEven a little stair for the ducks to get easy in and out of the water. How far can you go.
ReplyDeleteThe stairs is to repair the jetty if needed, the ducks can fly. They sometimes even go into the pool :)
DeleteBeautiful ducks, your friends are luck to see a black swan!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie, lots of black swans around the area.

ReplyDeleteThey certainly do, a little little paradise by the river.
DeleteBeautiful reflections!
ReplyDeleteThanks James.
DeleteI love ducks!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarsm.
DeleteLovely birds!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anu.
DeleteGorgeous reflections Sami, we used to get a pair of ducks landing in our pool once a year, P hated it because they make such a mess.. we haven't seen them since we got the pool cover, they just didn't understand that :) :)
ReplyDeleteWhen my friend has her cover off the pool she also gets ducks swimming there. They also take a seat on her outdoor furniture and even poop on some of the pillows, lol.
DeleteThose of us who grew up feeding the ducks (who knew that was not such a good idea!) will always have a soft spot for ducks!
ReplyDeleteWren x
Feeding the ducks was always fun for us as kids too. I was bitten by a white swan once when young.
