It's still considered the world's top selling puzzle game with over 350 million cubes sold.
Just as with last week's mural, the Hungarian are proud of this invention and here is a mural to prove that.
Located at Rumbach Sebestyén utca 5. in Budapest, it was painted by Neopaint, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the cube in 2014, and measures 250 sqmt (2691sqft).
And here you can see this mural and last week's mural opposite each other

Excellent find Sami.. I have three of them sitting on my outside table just in case any visitors get fidgety :)
ReplyDeleteIt always took me ages to solve the cube!
DeleteUm trabalho fantástico num belo efeito visual, gostei.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom Domingo.

DeleteWhat exciting art
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia.
Delete...I never got the hang of the Rubik's Cube!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't very good at it either.
DeleteVery creative! I know you can still buy them.
ReplyDeleteThanks William, yes they are still popular. Just yesterday there was a "brainy" kid in tv that could do it in just 59 seconds!!
DeleteThat's a pretty cool mural, very creative
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam.
DeleteProcure ver um vídeo com um garoto a fazer três cubos ao mesmo tempo enquanto os vai movimentando no ar (malabarismo).
ReplyDeleteIncrível!!
Bjs, boa semana
Wow, incrivel Pedro, nunca tinha visto nada assim!
DeleteBoa semana.
Pretty cool, although I think Rubik was an evil man. Yes, I never solved it.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a fan either, as I could never get to the end, lol.
DeleteThe despair of my youth! Never managed to finish it. BTW, an old friend of mine, Grace Forde, just told me you're friends. Great! I'm flying to Portugal later today, will try to find some murals there
ReplyDeleteSame here. Thanks for contributing Rob and enjoy your holiday in Portugal, you'll be in mural heaven.
DeleteOhhhh, childhood memories. I never solved it but then, I was too young anyways. Maybe that´s just an excuse. They´re rightfully proud of it, great mural to proof it!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what was the inventor's best time.
DeleteYes, again something to be proud of.
ha, I don't think I ever managed to solve one. nice of them to dedicate a mural to the Cube.
ReplyDeleteThanks Klara, yes a nice tribute to the cube and it's inventor.
DeleteWho doesn't remember the Puzzle. Nice done.
ReplyDeleteI know, very well known in our generation, but even nowadays it's still getting sold and solved.
DeleteYou can sure spend a lot of time playing with them! Good mural, Sami!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a while to learn how to play with them I think, never managed to get to the end. Thanks Pat.
DeleteI still have my Rubik's Cube, but mine doesn't have that psychedelic look to it the mural has (grin).
ReplyDeleteLol, I don't know what happened to mine. Thanks Elizabeth.
DeleteInteresting concept!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda.
DeleteDearest Sami,
ReplyDeleteRubik's Cube was quite some invention and thus a mural in Budapest is perfect.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks Mariette, a great invention indeed.
Delete💗
DeleteI never did get a Rubik's Cube sorted!
ReplyDeleteHappy June Wishes
All the best Jan
I think most "unmathematical" people couldn't do it, lol.
DeleteThis had to take someone forever!
