These photos were taken in March last year in Queen Victoria street in North Fremantle.
The murals were painted by Indigenous local artist Herbert Marshall, on the front walls of Old Bridge Cellars. The Dhufish was painted in 2013 and the Blue Manna Crab and prawn were added later.

I love to see the sea food!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom. I would rather be eating it, lol.
DeleteThose are great murals.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne.
DeleteLifelike portraits of sea life. Only doesn't look going into some cellars at all.
ReplyDeleteThey should have painted some wine bottles instead of seafood, lol. Thanks S.C.
DeleteMakes me hungry for seafood!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janey.
DeleteThe crab was awesome, but it's too bad the ice machine covered up part of the prawn. Location, location, location!
ReplyDeleteYes, location is important, the fish could have been a bit more to the left and then the prawn would have more space next to the ice machine instead of on top of it. Thanks Elizabeth.
DeleteThey´re well done - but anything with more than four legs gives me the creeps ;-)
ReplyDeleteDon't you eat them Iris? They could be creepy but taste good.
DeleteThey are beautifully painted Sami, I'm not sure if I've seen his work before. Must get down to Fremantle again soon.
ReplyDeleteIt was the first time I saw a mural by this artist too Grace.
DeleteI like the murals, very creative. My favorite is the fish. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, the fish is very well done, those scales, etc. are perfect.
DeleteThese are incredibly detailed and wonderful to look at. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteThanks ODP.
