Monday Murals - Basketball shoes

Just like the mural I showed a couple of week's ago, this one is also painted by Perth artist Paul Deej.
It was painted for the "Little Creatures Hops & Hoops event" in November 2015, on the rooftop of MANY6160 stores in Fremantle.
Being a basketball event, the artist painted 2 of his favourite pairs of Michael Jordan shoes.

Linking to Monday Murals, please follow this link to see other murals from around the world.

(PS: Little Creatures is a Fremantle brewery and Hops & Hoops was a basketball event for youngsters, presumably sponsored by the Brewery).

  1. Now that is some hommage to Michael Jordan - wonder if he´s aware of it.
Have sadly missed this. Not the beer at Little Creatures, though ;-)

    1. I doubt Michael Jordon knows about his basketball shoes being painted on a mural in Fremantle. It would be fun for him to come visit though.

  2. I'm thrilled that your country knows something besides tennis and soccer. This is MY sport, and I adore those shoes and the story behind them. This sounds like a worthy event, and some awesome art came out of it, too!

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. Frankly you don't see much basketball on tv, they mainly show soccer, rugby, tennis, cycling. It must have been a worthy event though as you say.

    1. Unfortunately this and other murals are on the rooftop of a small shopping centre which means it's not very visible.

  12. Works for a basketball event. I've seen players profiles on walls but never a pair of shoes. Different and creative. Nice image!
