Monday Mural - Petrol station

One of the murals painted for Public Form 2016, in April this year. This one was painted in building 208 at Curtin University by Perth artist Jessee Lee Johns.

As with some of the other murals painted during this time I was able to catch the artist at work, and this one right from the start.

  3. Lots of fun to see this in progress! And to capture the artist working step by step! What a dizzying and intriguing perspective this one makes. Since most of the murals you show are so fascinating, they've always seemed to just appear magically over night. I feel as if we've caught Santa in action this time!

  4. How wonderful to see the mural come alive.. It must be hard to get the perspective right on a huge one like this.

    1. Thanks Marleen. I agree it must be difficult to paint a huge mural.

  5. When we post pictures with murals, we can't really see how big they are, but this one is massive! Much work has been done by the artist, but the result is great.

  6. This is spectacular. I often wondered how they got those murals on tall buildings, and your photos have shown how. I love the in-process shots and they tell a very telling story. Thanks for sharing both the completed mural and the artist at his work.

  7. That is always nice to follow the progress in a work by the artist. You caught it very well, had to go by several times I suppose?:)
