Looking forward to your mural finds this week.  Thanks, Sami.

Painted in 2018 by Perth artist Peter Ryan for the Splash of Colour Community Art Program, this wastewater pumping station cabinet has been transformed into a public art piece. It's located in Mends Street in South Perth, and in the last two photos you can spot the city centre just across the Swan River.

And today the 8th of March we celebrate International Women's day, and I wish all women a most wonderful day. Sadly there is still much to be done towards equality and rights for women...

The 8th also happens to be our daughter's birthday, and we wish Karina a wonderful day - we are so very proud of her achievements, her kindness and generosity with  everyone, her work ethic and so much more.  A most wonderful daughter!

A wonderful birthday wish also goes to Paula from
https://pontoaquipontoacola.blogspot.com/ who celebrated her birthday on the 7th of March and celebrated her 5th blog anniversary on the 3rd of March.

Paula and her husband kindly blogged a birthday post for my birthday on their respective blogs on the 2nd of March, which was very kind of them and really touched me.

As I mentioned above I celebrated my birthday on Tuesday 2nd, and apart from having to work the whole day, got home at 6pm and then Jose took me out to dinner at Malaysian Delights - a new restaurant near us.

I felt very privileged and lucky to receive over 200 messages via facebook, messenger, whatsapp, sms's, phone calls, and as I mentioned before even in two blogs, and it's taken me ages to read and reply.

Two murals from Bunbury again :

The fox mural, titled "Growing Through Hardship", was painted by Andrew Fraser in 2015 at the Lotteries House Car Park, off Wellington Street.

Andrew, was born and raised in Bunbury, and is also the founder of Six Two Three Zero, a initiative that seeks to use street art as a catalyst for urban development & social change by bringing communities together in conversation and creative inspiration.  He's been responsible for the commissioning of over 30 large scale murals in the Bunbury central business district, some of which I've been showing on my Monday Murals since December 2020.

Just behind the small house on the other side of the fence was a mural by Jackson Harvey , painted in 2016 at AK Home Builders.

Jackson is a tattooist who lives and works in Bunbury, who is also passionate about public art. He has a background in architectural design and visual arts, and his murals usually feature tattoo related imagery and ornament.

Monday Mural - A pop of colour

Two murals from our November trip to Bunbury painted in the unmistakable style of Perth artist - Anya Brock.

The first - the Ibis, can be seen at Graham Bricknell Sound Shell Bicentennial Square on Symmons Street, and the other - a female face, is among a dozen other murals in ShoeBeDoo Lane (isn't this just a great name?), just off Stephen Street.
