About Me

Sami: Perth, Western Australia, Australia; Hi, welcome to my blog. I'm Portuguese, born in Mozambique. I've also lived in South Africa, Germany, Portugal and have been living in Australia since 2007. Married, with two adult children, 2 grandchildren. I love cats and had 5 cats at one stage, sadly the last one died in August 2023. Retired in October 2025 from a part time job at a Medical Clinic, I love travelling, decor, up-cycling and painting furniture, crafts and reading. I blog about anything that I find interesting. I also enjoy researching my family tree and have a blog in Portuguese dedicated to that: https://familiacortezsilvestre.blogspot.com
