About Me

Sami: Perth, Western Australia, Australia; Hi, welcome to my blog. I'm Portuguese, born in Mozambique. I've also lived in South Africa,Germany, Portugal and have been living in Australia since 2007. Married, with two adult children, 2 grandchildren. I love cats and had 5 cats at one stage, but sadly the last one died in August 2023. Apart from my part-time job in a Medical clinic, I love up-cycling and painting furniture, all sorts of crafts, reading and travelling. I blog about anything that I find interesting from our travels, to recipes, murals, cats, my furniture up-cycling projects, decor, etc. I also enjoy researching my family tree and have a blog in Portuguese dedicated to that.
