I love murals and street art. If you like murals or have a mural you'd like to post, this meme is for you. Just follow the Linky steps below. Once you start looking you will find murals everywhere. The "Monday Mural" meme goes live on Monday at 12,01AM, Perth,Western Australian time. Be sure to link back to this blog and visit your fellow posters. Looking forward to your mural finds this week. Thanks Sami
Murals seen in the newish suburb of Treeby, located within the City of Cockburn.
This huge mural painted on the walls of the local shopping centre highlights the history of Treeby - originally a market garden, as well as First Nation stories, fauna and flora.
Painted in 2023 by young Perth artist Hayley Smith aka The Hayley Co, it was her largest mural to date - 5 walls , about 300 sqm, (3229 sq.ft.) which took her about 6 weeks to paint.
PS: I am in Europe at the moment and return home at the end of June, but the Monday Murals are all scheduled to go ahead every Monday, hopefully with no mishaps.
I will still visit your Monday Murals as we are taking a laptop to make life easier for me.

DeleteWhat a wonderful reminder of how much joy murals and street art can bring 🎨✨ There’s something special about discovering art in everyday places—it turns a simple walk into a little adventure. Once you start noticing murals, it really does feel like they’re everywhere, each one with its own story to tell.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely idea for a community meme too—thanks for sharing and encouraging everyone to look around more closely 😊
Thanks for your visit
DeleteMurals really do change the way you see a city 🎨✨ They turn ordinary walls into stories, memories, and bursts of creativity. I love the idea of people actively going out and finding them—it makes every walk feel like a little treasure hunt. Looking forward to seeing what everyone discovers this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit.
DeleteYou must live in the most mural-ly country in the world and I love these! So happy!
ReplyDeleteI think so too Jeanie, we have murals being painted all the time. I don't think I've seen half of them!
