Looking forward to your mural finds this week.

Thanks Sami

Near the train station of  Santa Apolónia, in Rua dos Caminhos de Ferro (Train station street), Lisbon, two murals painted by Portuguese street artist Inês Arisca - "Equality" and "Wisdom" painted in 2024 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "Carnation Revolution" which occurred on the 25th of April 1974.
The bloodless coup by the Armed Forces Movement overthrew the longest running fascist dictatorship in Europe and the end of the colonial wars in the Portuguese colonies in Africa - in Angola, Mozambique (where I was born) and Guiné-Bissau.

Following the theme, this is a carnation sculpture in São Brás de Alportel, a small town in the District of Faro, Algarve region - photo sent by my sister when she visited the town in April this year.
