I took these photos in November 2018 when I joined friends for lunch in East Fremantle. I got lost, turned into this street to turn around and found this mural.
I was no longer lost 😉, parked the car and grabbed a few photos before getting back on the way to the restaurant. Painted in 2018 by Perth artist Brenton See.
His signature style is birds and flowers, and you'll find a bird among the sunflowers too.
I spotted one of his recent murals on Sunday 3rd on the way home from a picnic on the beach, which reminded me I had yet to publish this one. On Saturday 9th I found another 2 of his recently painted murals.

DeleteSo so beautiful, especially my Dad would've loved these. We should get lost more often ;-)
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to get lost that day as I found a beautiful mural I would never discover otherwise. Thanks Iris.
DeleteI'm from the sunflower state. It's even on our license plates (auto). These sunflowers are stunning, and the bird is enchanting. This is SO well done. I was especially taken by the way the sunflowers and bird's head blended so well with the facade running around the building. The only detraction was what was at the very top.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice Elizabeth, I presume you get to see lots of sunflowers then.
DeleteI also noticed the modern statues on the edge of the balcony, which don't really go very well with the mural...
Como raio é que esta malta consegue fazer isto???
ReplyDeleteBjs, boa semana
